How much headroom should my PSU have for overclocking?

The 2060 doesn't draw much power. It has a 160W TDP, and it draws about that much power at stock.

For the whole system, expect it to be about 60-70W higher than that, so about 230W from the PSU. You're more than fine on a decent 400W PSU.

I've looked this up but I see very mixed answers. I don't know if you need 50 watts or 500 watts. I'm very unexperienced when it comes to overclocking.

 

If you want specifics, my build would be a Ryzen 5 2600, Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8) 3600mhz RAM, an RTX 2060 6GB, ASRock B450M PRO4, 480GB SSD and a 2TB HDD.

 

Edit: pcpartpicker says the estimated wattage would be 354W

it depends, i say get the best value for your money for now and worry about over clocking later , 

if you want to add components then thats another story

A solid 500 watt PSU would serve you well and last for many years to come with solid overclocking headroom. Heck, I'm pretty sure even a quality 450 watt would be more than enough for you.

It used to be ~50% headroom needed, but that was back in the day of 1ghz+ CPU OCs on air and 50% GPU OCs on air.  We no longer have that kind of frequency headroom.

 

I would say ~20% or less headroom is really needed with modern parts.
