XFX RX 590 Win10 Volume Popup issues

Go to solution Solved by FreqEvans,

I tried the HideVolumeOSD, but it didn't worked.

Fortunately, I just found a solution: disable the fullscreen optimization from game/program properties. The volume OSD has disappeared and now games are running not in a weird hybrid window.

Hi everyone, i'm going to explain a weird problem that I have encountered with the XFX RX 590.

Before that, I need to tell you some things.

My working build (without this problem) was:

CPU: Intel i5-4460

GPU: Zotac GTX 1050 Ti Mini

MoBo: Lenovo Sharkbay (Proprietary)

RAM: 1x Ramaxel 4GB 1600MHz + 1x Samsung 8GB 1600MHz (both DDR3 obv)

OS: Win 10 x64 build 1903

Monitor: Samsung Curved 27" with FreeSync (1st Gen) no HDR

1 month ago I replaced the 1050 Ti with a brand new RX 590... and the problem appeared.

When I turn up or down the volume with the dedicated button on the keyboard (Lenovo Silk USB Keyboard) and the volume popup appeares in the high-left of the screen, I've got an FPS drop by 3-5 in games during the animation of appearing and disapperaing of the popup, and during fullscreen videos, they stuck for 1/2 second or less.

Same with my new build, these are the specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600

GPU: XFX AMD Radeon RX 590 8GB

MoBo: MSI X570-A Pro (latest bios update)

RAM: 2x Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz

OS: Win 10 x64 build 1903

Monitor: Samsung Curved 27" with FreeSync (1st Gen) no HDR

Same Keyboard and Mouse designed by Lenovo.

Everything (OS, Programs and Games) are on SSDs (1x Kingston 480GB and 1x SanDisk 480GB)

I tried everything. No OSD overlay (MSI AfterBurner, RivaTuner, AMD... EVERYTHING)

No FreeSync. No V-Sync. I really don't now how to fix this problem.

Thanks!

(In this moment I can't upload a video of this problem, but if someone need to see in practice how is this problem in execution I'm able to upload)

Sorry for my english... I'm italian!???

It's the Windows 10 volume OSD that does that.

Thanks for your reply man!

Do you know how to fix that?

AsI said before, with my 1050 Ti was everything ok (apart of performance ?)

Thanks again.

Maybe some week ago I'd tried something like this, but it doesn't work at all.

However, I will try it your solution.

Thanks!!
