External rgb lights (besides hue) with aura compatibility?

I'm thinking of getting some new led strips for my desks, since my are just white (and we all know rgb adds +10 points to your setup) but I want it to be controlled under aura so it matches my pc, and I can set cool music stuff to it. But the only option I can see right now are hue strips, which seems pretty expensive, so I was wondering is there any other options for eternal rgb strips that work with aura?

Ok, so i've been finding some articles about cheap 'alternitives' that work with the hue app (at least) and was wondering if there will work too

Just buy rbg strip lighting and run a cable out of your system

Is that really the only option? I don't really like the look of a cable coming out of my system,

there's no usb argb controller that works with aura. your options is to use 2 different controllers or run a cable out side. there is one controller that dose have an outside usb but i don't recommend it. and is not aura. asus dose have an argb controller but its expensive and  i don't no much about it.

I don't exactly know what you mean by this, Do you mean an internal and external custom controllers or something?

one controller to control the strips on the outside and one on the inside (im guessing your mb) but they wont be synced up. if you want them to be then your option is to run a cable out side the case.

ok, guess i'll get the hue strips lol, they're actually the cheapest option (that works with aura). Found out the 'cheap diy stuff' wont work with aura

hmm dint no that cheap diy stuff dint work with aura. i do remember reading on forms about it thow
