he sold it due to his cpu being overburnt in overclocking and is building a new one.

 

he said it was fully fuctional

 

i cannot trust my own eyes. take a look at the cpu support list holy damn. it supports Ryzen 9 3950X and down.

 

is it even the correct site for the cpu compatibility!?!

 

im SHOOK i remind you i bought this board for 10$ expecting it to only support Ryzen 3 1300X minus.

however when i google cpu compatibility site this popped up saying the board only supports ryzen 7 1800x as highest supported

 

im confused. i choose to trust the official gigabyte site instead of cpu-upgrade site.

Look mate, you can slap a R5 3600 on it... it should work fine but it ends there... even the 3700X let alone the 3900X and 3950X will severely throttle on it.

 

In order to use 3rd gen you might need a BIOS update.

Also a board with a killed CPU in it is a big red alarm. Did the CPU take the board with it? Unlikely but no one can prove it

If it works yes, it's like a $50+ motherboard. But as @Princess Luna said the max this will work reliably for is the 3600.

i wasnt planing to use it currently and the best i can afford is probably like a R5 3600, tho. but this pc will be backup or replacement system, i dont want to spend to much $ on it, so im probably going with a ryzen 5 2600x. sooooo would this be a good idea?

It should work fine with this board, as long as the board is working. Should of definitely been tested before purchase. You don't want to buy a CPU and have it fry like the original owners did. Usually when things are too good to be true they really are.

ill get like a test cpu like an athlon or smthing to test it. just texted seller, he didnt test it after it died.

also he kept it for 5 years and sold it to me when his cpu died.
