Compatibility of different RAM sticks

I have a 2gb ddr3 simmtronics ram installed in my old pc. If i buy a new hynix manufactured 2gb ram stick of same frequency will the combo be compatible and stable?

Also is hynix a good brand for aftersales service?

maybe not completely stable but it should work, keeping the same timings goes a long way too

honeslty though 4gb is even shit for even chrome

you could try to get 8gb or 16gb off ebay (just make sure its not ecc)
