Compressed air same as compressed gas?

So i bought some canned air to clean out my pc. Only to read it says compressed gas. Is that ok? Fyi i was high at the time

If it's compressed "petrol" as Americans like to call it "gas", then you got a can of Butane, and it's not good to be huffing... oh, too late.

Does it have a flammable warning sticker? Hopefully not.

Compressed air for computers is typically CO2 gas mixed with a bitter agent to stop people from huffing it. Read the rest of the label. It may very well be the same thing.

So far, all of you have been wrong. The gas inside "canned air" is one of the fluorocarbon refrigerants, such as  1,1-difluoroethane with a bitterant to discourage huffing and kept in the can in a liquid form. Butane has not been used in years, if not decades, due to it's extreme flammability. Atmospheric air can't be used because it is not easily stored when compressed unless kept in a heavy, high strength tank. I do not recall CO2 ever being used.

Huffing any propellant can harm you. However, you are highly unlikely to accidentally inhale enough "canned air" to harm you due to the bitterant (a foul smelling, irritating substance added to the refrigerant).

Nah, you mean I was not being sarcastic enough? ;)

I just bought what I thought was a can of compressed air to clean my cpu fan, motherboard, gpu and other parts inside my PC, only to read that it says it's a compressed "gas duster"! Is there a difference between compressed air and a gas duster?

CO2 is available but it's specially marked as such (or as far as I've seen it). It's most commonly sold in small cartridges like these rather than the typical aerosol-style can that air dusters are sold in. It is better for cleaning sensitive equipment as COis generally nonreactive and the cartridges don't contain any liquid or bitterants.
