So, I'm building a home PC for a relative. The parts are:

AMD Athlon 200GE,

8GB Samsung DDR4,

MSI A320M PRO-M2,

120GB WD Green SSD,

500W Aerocool Integrator PSU.

I think that my PSU was dead on arrival because it will not power ANY motherboards (my personal or the MSI), and the fan does not turn on. Nothing happens when plugged in. I know, it's my fault for buying a cheap PSU, but the Amazon reviews looked good. Any suggestions? Does it sound like my mobo was DOA?

Thanks.

Disconnect everything from the PSU (except for the AC power cord) and put a paperclip between the green wire and any black wire on the 24 pin connector. The green wire is PS_ON, and will just power on the PSU. Check if the fan spins.
