Hi, so i have my 4k tv (samsung ue55nu7023) i connected to my pc via hdmi 2.0 one 2 meter and a 15meter one. Both same cable.

When i connect the shorter hdmi it works fone like it supposed to, but when i connect it with the longer hdmi it starts flashing.

btw with my laptop both cable works fine.

15m is kind of on the edge even for 1.4... with an additional 2m and a coupling inbetween it's very unlikely it will work reliably at 4K60.

For such long runs there are "HDMI extender" boxes that use either multiple CAT6 cables in parallel or fiber optic cables.

15m is 45 feet, it needs a built in power of some sort, forgot the correct term for it.

You miss understood me, when i use the shorter everything works fine but when i use the longer thats when it doesnt work. Im not using them together.

Im not running it on 4k60, its just 1366*768 same as laptop's screen.

Why does it work with my laptop then? Im using the same resolution both case.

Different hardware?

I got a 15 feet dvi cable and my screen don't come on either, well it does but it takes over 2 minutes to do so. So I swap for a shorter one 6 feet and it comes on right away.

Might be the Samsung screen cause I have a Samsung screen too. Probably just extremely picky, but still longer cables needs a power source of some kind.

Now laptop screen extended, with the tv having 1920*1080, still works fine, while with my pc a lot lower res, no signal...

I will give a call to samsung tomorrow, maybe they will have some idea...

It just depends on how good the drive strength is on the graphics card's output, so it may vary from a machine to another.

Sometimes there can be problems with grounding too if your electrical system is subpar in your house and the PC is plugged to an outlet far away from the display (which it probably is since you need a long cable).
