I just went from a 1050ti to a Gigabyte OC 1660. I used DDU before installing the new graphics card and re-installed the new drivers using ge-force experience, doing a custom clean install. I had problems with games freezing then crashing until I under-clocked by 20mHz using MSI Afterburner. Even before under-clocking the GPU the temps never reached 80 degrees celcius. Would applying more core voltage help so I don't have to under-clock or should I just leave it as be?

EDIT: The issue is still happening.

Setup

i-7 4790k

16G DDR3 1333mHz

Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming G1 motherboard

Corsair 850 watt PSU

Instead of underclocking use debug mode. It takes off the factory overclock.

If the GPU still crashes RMA it and tell them about using debug mode.

Ok I will try this because I actually still had the issue when it was underlocked.

Will this permanently enable itself(will it still be enabled when I shutdown and turn on PC)? because I was able to play GTA for an hour with no issues.

If it fixed it RMA the card it is faulty.

I think it stays on. I only used it with a Gigabyte Extreme GTX 1080 for some games. Since 90% of the games worked with it i did not RMA the card.
