So, the other day I accidentally dropped my Samsung Galaxy J3 v 3rd gen in a puddle and now it won't charge. Despite using the original charger that came with the phone when I plug my phone in to charge it tells me to use the original charger that came with the phone. I've tried other chargers and it still won't charge. It says it's charging but the battery continues to drain is my charge port busted or is it the battery that's broken. I already looked into the posibility of filing a warrenty claim but neither samsung nor my carrier accept claims due to water damage

Yikes. Water damage is a bitch. This could be two things. Your charging port to the mobo or mobo to battery. Try cleaning the connector between the battery and the connection in the phone with alcohol. It may fix it. If not you might need to take it somewhere to fix it or get a new phone.

It really is and this is the 4th phone I've had in 2 years. First one died due to me forgetting it was in my pocket when I went swimming. Second just died on its own, Third I dropped it to the point the screen shaddered

You're very forgetful haha.

I recommend getting something with some water resistance for times like this and throwing case/screen protector for it. Might cost a pretty penny but it's an option. Look at used one plus phones. Very good smart phones on the cheap. Highly recommend
