Hey,

I tried to play GTA V on my laptop, dell 7577.

specs:

I7 7700HQ

NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB MAX Q

24GB RAM

and the game installed on 256GB SSD NVME.

gpu drivers updated and new windows installed.

I get around 20-30 fps on normal setting 1080p and 30-40 on 720.

what can cause this? and how can i fix it?

tnx.

Are you updating drivers through the geforce experience program? Is your windows updated?

What is the heat coming from it/temps on your laptop looking like? Are the fans spinning?

If you have geforce experience try clicking recommended settings for gta v on the program then launching gta v through the geforce experience application. Let me know if this fixes it.

Hm. Try downloading some software that tells you the temperatures of your laptop and or look at how fast your gpu/cpu are running. It could be thermal throttling because it doesn't want to get too hot. Most common issue with laptops.

Also, see what's installed on your computer and what is running. Bloatware or other programs can be running in the background and taking up processing power. Open task manager and see what's taking up the most percentages at idle and when the game is running. If something is taking too much either stop the process or uninstall it. Most programs doing that in the background aren't with it in the first place and you could probably find other programs to replace them that are better.
