Win 8.1 mobile app on win 10

Good day,

 

There is an app on the the windows store that I really need. But when I went to download it. it says its only for windows mobile 8.1.

 

Is there anyway to use the app besides buying a win 8.1 phone?

Is it in Microsoft store? 

If not, use an emulator.

Yes, it is. Which emulator? and where do I get the installation os for the emulator?

No can do. You can try and reach out to the developer to see if they'll port it. You could study code and essentially try and make a clone. Or you'll need Windows Mobile 8.1.

 

There's no sort of emulation, etc, that will work.

How do you think windows phone app developers test their apps? You think they use an actual device for testing?
