It's compatible with any modern hardware, more than likely had some other issue with that system.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Maybe there are issues with the OS, drivers, HDMI cable/port, or something else. Otherwise there are very few motherboards with PCIE slots made after 2008 which are not capable of supporting the card in some capacity.

Like it wouldn't show anything on the display if the 590 were plugged in? What power supply? Was everything hooked up?

Otherwise it may have just needed a bios update

Did you uninstall the old driver before installing the new one? I have seen that cause problems.

DDU works well in this matter. (Display Driver Uninstaller) Simple Google will fetch it.

In the area of overlooked things, I once forgot to plug in the 6 or was it 8 pin power plug. [red face]
