Hi All,

I was wondering if anybody could have a look at the picture attached and see if theres any issues with my horizontal, is the water level high enough for were the outlet point is? I wanted to some air in the res as it was hard to bleed and i was worried about pressure build if it was not bleed correctly.

Second question relates to my second picture, I plugged the fill hole with a g1/4plug and it keeps on leaking when put horizontal. I added a male to female 1/4 connector then the 1/4 plug and the leak seems to have stopped. Is this a concern or normal with the fill ports?

Thanks again in advance.

For horizontal combo units you just need to ensure it's higher than the internal port that feeds the pump which is in the center of the tube res. So having it over 75% full is a good margin to keep so it doesn't run dry.

For that top port that is the correct way of extending the port to add a cap as it's counterbored into the surface. The other method is to use the low profile type plugs that EKWB provides as that will sit inside the counterbore.

I assume that the plug you are trying to used isn't the one that came with the reservoir? The thread in the top of a reservoir is set deeper than a standard G¼ thread and the normal plug doesn't quite seal. What you did allowed you to get around the problem.

Could set the system on its back and bleed like normal. And get the air out of the res and loop.

I use the plugs that are designed for the res or are compatible. Didn’t have any leaks from my horizontal res.
