I got these fans and this fan hub and when I plug them into the hub they wont spin. I change the bios fan speeds, nothing. Only power, still nothing. I had another 3 pin in and it works just fine. I plugged the hub into the CPU fan header and only the CPU fan and 3 pin worked. All the fans work when just plugged into the 4 pin header on the motherboard, but nothing on the hub. Any idea what's going on? Thanks!

You must configure the headers on the motherboard to be 4 pin PWM control with that fan hub it will not accept 3 pin DC voltage control.

Okay, so it's the motherboard header not supporting pwm? How could I fix that? thanks.

What motherboard are you using?

Did you plug in sata power for the hub?

It looks like cpu_fan1 is labeled a (Quiet Fan) header in the manual. That may mean that it allows for a fan curve that responds to temps or it may mean that it delivers a 5v signal to 4pin fans. Have you tried cha_fan1 for the hub instead?

Yes, I tried that. I also changed the fan curve on both headers.

And they are also configured as PWM control? The fans should turn on at full speed if there is no rpm signal line made back to the motherboard.

I didn't find that control mode switch, but even if they aren't receiving rpm signal from the 4 pin, there is no spinning.

Try a different sata power connection and ensure that it is powered, if it doesn't spin then you may have something wrong with that fan hub.

I'm using the wraith stealth, an air balance 3 pin from cooler master, and 5 arctic p12 pwm pst fans.I also set CPU fan to full to see if it would turn the fans on.

Have you tried only using the 4pin fans on the hub?

I'm most likely just going to re seat all the fans in my case, take off all the dust filters, and if that doesn't work, I'll let the 3 pin and CPU fans pull air and get new case fans.

Seems like a defective hub. I'd suggest contacting the seller or manufacturer for a replacement if it's under warranty.

That being said, you can probably power the fans off of the motherboard without a hub.

The P12 PWM PST fans can be daisy chained.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing but only with 2 fans. I'll use all of them when I get the chance. Thanks for the help!

Is it a matter of not being able to mount the fans in the case?

If you're worried about the fans requiring more power, that shouldn't be a problem. The P12 PWM PST's only require 0.08A and you should be able to run all 5 off of one header when daisy chained.

Oh no. I just thought it was only 2 so I was only using 2. I've got all Daisy chained together and it's running smoothly.
