Side Scrollers on Curved Monitors

I plan on getting 2 new curved monitors soon, these ones to be exact:

I get the appeal when it comes to playing on curved monitors for 3D games for the immersion, but what about 2D side scrolling games? Wouldn't a game like Super Mario Bros look a little weird when the edges of the screen are stretched outwards when they're supposed to be flat? Do any of you have any experience with this? Does it look fine, did you have to get used to it, etc.?
