I was able to overclock my Ryzen 5 2400g from 3.6ghz to 3.8ghz (cpu voltage 1.3625, 85.7C max) by using ryzen master with a gigabyte a320m s2h v2 motherboard. I checked my clock speeds with aida64 and it did hit 3.8.

Are there any other a320 boards that can overclock?

Is it safe to go to 3.9ghz with the stock cooler?

Windows now takes 10 seconds more to boot and im using an ssd( 23 sec overall), is this because of the overclock?

Any AM4 motherboard CAN overclock, it's just a matter of SHOULD you overclock. In this case, I wouldn't push it any further for 2 reasons. 1st, your CPU temps are already very high. I would suggest a better cooler regardless of whether or not you push your overclock further. 2nd, your motherboard VRMs don't have a heatsink on them. I would strongly recommend you find a way to get airflow over that area to keep your VRMs from getting shit on. Your voltage is as high as I'd push it with that board and cooler, so proceed wisely.

I was just curious because this board even though has a320 in its name, it actually has a b350 chipset.

But @Oshino Shinobu said that even 90C is fine in one of my questions.

Will they hit more than 80C?

Thanks for the answer. ?

It's not a B350 chipset, it's an A320 as the name insists.

90c won't kill your CPU, but it will shorten it's lifespan. It will also raise your PC's ambient temperature, affecting your GPU, VRMs, HDDs, etc.

Yes your VRMs will hit far higher than 80c, but that isn't bad. Transistors in CPUs are what make them more sensitive to heat and why CPU cooling is so important. VRMs don't have this problem so they can (and will) safely hit upwards of 150c. You still want to make certain you're keeping them cool. This video here shows a good way to do this.

Ah. I missed the 'S2H V2' part of the name. I was looking at just the A320M. My bad.
