so i have a new system with a ryzen 7 2700x, asrock b450m pro04-f, g.skill 3200mhz ram, gtx 1070ti,

however i am having a ton of issues.

with benchmarks the pc looks fine i get a decent cinebench score and such. but with gaming i cant even run discord at the same time and it will lag like holy hell. i noticed in games, with nothing else running, if i am standing still the cpu and gpu usage is normal however when i move around the cpu and gpu usage spike downwards and i get huge frame drops. its wierd that it spikes down and not up.

solutions i have tried was to update my bios to the latest compatible version. updated all chipset and gpu drivers and such. i really dont know why my new system is running so badly.

thanks for any advice

What are your temps?

What power supply do you have?

Have you ran any memory tests like memtest86?

Do you have any overclocks enabled.

my temps are fine. im running a coolermaster AIO and tems never exceed 50 or so degrees celcius.

im using my old 700 psu from my old system (i5 7600k @ 4.8ghz) and it ran fine

i have no over clocks on cpu

i have enabled xmp for ram but not done any manual overclocking

i have not ran any memory tests but ill try it out.

50c full load is odd. It should be around 60-70, maybe it's not running at full speed.

you should also check your ssd / hdd health.

i think i have found the problem... maybe

i just ran another cinebench test and the package temp went up to 128 celcius in HWMonitor however core temp records a temp of only 62 celcius.

its anoying that with this motherboard you can not see the temps of the individual cores only the package temp.

im still unsure about the problem. i believe HWMonitor is giving bad readings as every other program is giving normal temps. HWinfo64, core temp and ryzen master all give temps of around 60c under load. benchmarks seem low but it should still run fishing planet. however i get about 40 fps in fishing planet with nothing els running and with discord open its unplayable and i cant hear my friends.
