Help with laptop on plane

So I’m about to go on a flight within the next couple days and I want to bring my gaming laptop and charger on the plane but I heard that you can’t bring something within a certain voltage or something? I just want to know if I can bring it I have a asus gu501gm if that helps

Provided you're in the US, there aren't really any restrictions. You just have to place it in a separate bin, and if asked, turn it on for them.

Just saw this topic on the video below.  At the 4 min mark or so he talks about how the planes 110V outlet won't charge the laptop while it's in use.  You can bring it on and use it, no problem.  At least until the battery dies...

You should check airlines rules as those may vary.

FAA regulations limit lithium-based batteries to 100Wh. Very few laptops or even consumer products exceed that.
