microphone inp[ust uses audio from pc instead of from the microphone

like in the topic, the microphone is connected via usb to the computer, but the device lights up when some sounds are coming from the pc, not because im talking to the mike. so for example, when im trying to talk to my friend, all he hears are my computer sounds, even when the there is no sound coming from my headphones.
