I was planning to upgrade my laptop's RAM and it came to my mind to use my Broken Laptop's RAM but I noticed that The RAM of that laptop is 1RX16 while the laptop that's I'm planning to upgrade has 1RX8. And when I put the RAM to my laptop, it's readable but it says 4.00 GB( 1.57 GB Usable ) and when I switch both sticks (My laptop ha dual socket of memory) it shows me a recovery options, and when I switched again, it booted up normally but that RAM is still 1.57 GB Usable. Can you give me some advice to make it all usabl?

RAM Sticks:

- 2GB DDR3 1RX16

- 2GB DDR3 1RX8

You probably need to clear CMOS

Main System: Ryzen 2700, Asus Crosshair VII Hero, EVGA GTX 1080ti SC, 970 EVO Plus NVMe, Crucial Ballistix 3200mhz CL14, CM H500, CM ML240L cpu cooler.

Second System: Ryzen 2400G, Gigabyte B450 DS3H, RX 580 Nitro+, Kingston A400 SSD, Team T-Force 3200mhz CL15

If it ain't overclocked it ain't good...
