Hello,

I just got my hands on a E3-1270 v3 (i7 4770) Dell System and i am wondering if it would be an worth upgrade for my current System. Its a X5675 at 4.4Ghz. Both System are running with Dual/Triple Channel DDR 1600 Ram.

GPU is a Vega 64, yes a little bit overkill but i got it cheap and the Monitor is 1080p 144Hz.

So its 6C/12T vs 4C/8T, Triple vs Dual Channel RAM and OC vs Stock.

I know they are both old Hardware but which one of those Systems is more future proof?

P.S.: Sorry for my bad english, i am not a native speaker.

In terms of single core performance, the i7 4770 is better than the X5675.

Stick with the E3-1270 v3 system if you want the best possible performance across the board. If you're interested in overclocking your system and tuning it, then stick with the X58 system.

Just read the title; stick with the E3-1270 v3 if you want the best gaming performance.
