I5 3570 to I5 6600k

I have a Dell optiplex with a stock I5 3570 in it on a stock mobo I bought a I5 6600k and before I take it apart I wanted to know if I need a motherboard upgrade as well? Also has anyone done this if I do need to upgrade the mobo what do you recommend? I also have a GTX 1060 oc I plan to install as well

6th gen is indeed different and you'll need a compatable motherboard for that new CPU because it has a differing number of contact pins on the bottom.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
