Star Trek: Starfleet Command III SFC3 No Cursor - FIXED!

I'm running SFC3 in Virtualbox and the cursor disappeared, I hope this helps people!

 

EDIT: For SFC3 specifically, I couldn't get the in game cursors to work well, they flickered and didn't appear so instead go to "C:\Program Files\Activision\SFC3\Assets\Mouse" and rename the "cursors.txt" eg. "1cursors.txt" and it'll remove the flicker and you'll have your standard windows pointer - WONDERFUL!

Select "regedit".

Allow "regedit".

Go to : HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Control Panel -> Desktop

Find : ForegroundFlashCount.

Right-Click : on ForegroundFlashCount.

Left-Click : "Modify...".

Left-Click :"Decimal".

In the field "Value data" type : 700000000

Left-Click : "OK".

Then :

Find : ForegroundLockTimeout. (just below ForegroundFlashCount)

Right-Click : on ForegroundLockTimeout.

Left-Click : "Modify...".

Left-Click :"Decimal".
In the field "Value data" type : 4000000000

Left-Click : "OK".
