Upgrading from GTX 1060 6GB

hey guys,

i currently have the GTX 1060 6 GB gpu, which is still a great card for 1080p gaming. i was thinking of upgrading my gpu, since it is not quite capable of dishing out 144 frames constantly, at 1080p, on ultra settings, on most titles. with the gpu market now, flooded with numerous new gpus, i'm kinda confused which one to buy, for my needs. requesting for suggestions.

 

My Current Rig:

AMD Ryzen 5 3600

MSI X470 Gaming Plus

16 GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM (2X8GB)

GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

WD 1TB 7200 rpm HDD

Corsair CX550 NM PSU

Consider to tell what's your budget, so people can help you much faster without unnecessary questions.

If it was me, I would get Nvidia RTX 2060 super or Radeon RX 5700.

Stay with your 1060. There is no card yet that gives you 144 frames constantly at 1080p on ultra settings. You may check it on youtube - lot of tests.

my budget is around $500 (max)

I still would choose from those 2 cards, plus Radeon RX 5700 XT. But @homeap5 is right, there is no card yet that gives you 144 frames constantly at 1080p on ultra settings.
