Hey, I am a gamer on a budget and currently gaming on a (terrible might i add) NVS 4200M I5-2450m laptop. I was interested in upgrading to a better build for under 400 dollars and went on a bargain hunt. I was wondering if there was anything better for the price tag

CPU: I7-2600k
CPU cooler: Hyper 212 evo with intel stock heatsink

GPU: GTX 1050 TI Low Profile

Motherboard: Intel DH61CRB3

PSU: ACE 600W

RAM: PC3-12800 2x 8GB sticks

OS: Windows 10

SSD/HDD: Kingston A400 480GB SATA SSD

Accessories: Mechanical E-Element Z-77 keyboard with programmable RGB

If there is any other part you need to know just ask.

my terrible laptop: CPU: i5-2450M at 2.60 ghz base (however goes up to 3.30 ghz on any steam game i run. odd.) GPU: integrated Quadro NVS 4200m (garbage. the reason that this is terrible.) 6GB of ram, 300GB HDD. refurbished Dell Latitude Esomething. got it for like 140 bucks on amazon.

why not standard height? RX 570 could cost about the same for higher speed btw, tho used ones could be ex-mining cards so the fans might die soon.

I know this may sound sketchy, but checkout some old Xeon CPU's on Aliexpress. These two for example:

Xeon E5 2689

Xeon W3690

Either one of these will cook the balls off the 2600k, especially if you know how to overclock. Not sure how cheap you're getting your 2600k, but if these are cheaper it's something to consider.

Source: Me. I bought a Xeon X3440 on AliExpress and overclocked the shit out of it. It's def not my main girl, but she can play all the latest titles without a hitch. Cost a whopping $17.

Found a low-profile card from a reputable brand for quite a bit cheaper than the normal size. RX 570's cost quite a bit more than 1050 ti's i found so.

Those are actual options I will take into consideration. I am getting my 2600k for about 60-70 bucks so I'll consider that.

look for a 7970/280x/380x, and get a better PSU.

What would you call "a better PSU" I am uncertain what you mean.

perhaps a CX550 or a masterwatt 550

Ah I get it. Would an EVGA 600WATX 12v (EPS) PSU be "better" in your opinion?
