Hi. I am looking for my next PC but kind of lost on where to start from.  Glad to find this forum where I can hopefully get some help. I am happy to try and build a rig myself and have friends and family who are more technically competent than I am to help if I get stuck.  Willing to consider pre-built if that will work out better for me. I am not tech savvy so please go easy on me :)

1. Budget & Location

Location: GB
Budget: £1300 - can stretch +£100 but has to be really worth the additional investment.
Parts preferably from Amazon as I have like £1000 in Amazon Gift Vouchers.

2. Aim

Need a gaming rig that would comfortably run Fortnite, PUBG or Apex.  I am sorry I cant really provide any deep technical details on this due to my lack of knowledge. I am not seeking mega high FPS but at least something that is enjoyable to play, wont make my machine sound like Boeing 747 starting up (Like my current machine) and run for hours without any hiccups.  I would take a stab at PCPartPicker myself but I would be guessing everything. If someone were to ask me why I chose Intel over AMD, my response will most likely be "I dunno, cause its Intel". The users of the PC would be casual gamers (If such term is appropriate) and not looking to do any video editing or streaming either. In summary, looking for something that can run modern games and a comfortable frame rate and resolution without sound like its about to take off.

3. Monitors

Planning a single monitor.  Current monitor is a Dell UltraSharp U2414H 23.8 inch Widescreen IPS LCD Monitor (1920 x 1080, 2M:1, 250 cd/m2, 8 ms).. its very old but looking to replace it later on down the line.  If you see any issues using this monitor with the proposed rigs then please call it out... thanks.

4. Peripherals

Have a mouse and keyboard which I am happy with and wont need an additional OS. Got sound\speakers also covered.  Monitor wise.. please see above.

5. Why are you upgrading?

Current PC is like 5 years old and really really struggles with most new games.  I can post the specs if anyone needs but its really outdated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Herman.. Thank you so much for reply to my message.  Quick question (sorry about this), can I get away with running my current monitor with the above rig? Only for a couple of months.  Just wanna make the most of the budget on the rig itself and I can buy a monitor down the line. With the extra £250 would you change anything else?

Thanks again.

you can use the money left for a 3700x and 2070 super, but gaming performance isn't that much different.
