Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro Wifi help

Go to solution Solved by Mathieu9836,

I never used RAM sticks on the QVL list, never had an issue. The QVL list mean they tested this exact kit and it worked at the rated speed, but it doesnt mean that all others won't work. Get the RAM sticks you want and the motherboard you want, throw the RAM sticks on it and boot you PC, you will probably have to set XMP and clockspeed manually, and thats about it. Only thing that will happen if you buy RAM not on the QVL is support from Gigabyte if you RAM can't run at rated speed, but Gigabyte Support is useless anyway.....

Edit:I've seen rare cases where people can't get their RAM to rated speed, QVL or not. It's usually a system stability issue and sometimes even bad RAM sticks.

Hi, I am building a new at the moment. I'm about to buy Ram, but i dont know or understand the compatibility of the motherboard with the ram. I was initially going to buy the G.Skill Trident Z 3200 Mhz, but when i checked the support page for my motherboard, it doesn't support it apparently. I followed the pinnacle ridge support because my Cpu is a Ryzen 5 2600x. Please feel free to correct me if i am wrong. I would love to hear some feedback just so i don't waste money of a ram that may or may not be compatible. Please point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance!.

Oh okay, Thank you so much. I was worried for nothing. I was so paranoid that i would just waste money buying rams that i like and for it not work with the motherboard that i have. I really appreciate the time and effort you took to answer my question. Thank you so much!
