Asus PCE-N15 slow download

Some days ago I got my brand new fiber connection and in order to fully use it I changed my wifi card, upgrading from a cheap USB one to a PCIE.
So I bought the Asus PCE-N15... But the download is incredibly slow!

Everything else is working fine, the ping is 5-7 and the upload is the right speed! Only the download is 35 instead of 190...
I tried to install its driver form both CD and official website, but everything gets stuck on the "Installing EAP-FAST", not moving from there.

I'm on Windows 10 1903, Ryzen 7 2700X, 36Gb of RAM.... Someone knows how to solve?

Thanks in advance!

Was about to type a long post but started to confuse myself lol. Lets start by sorting some things out.

- You connection to internet is 190mbs (megabit)?

- Asus PCE-N15 can do 300mbs (megabit) according to internet so this should work

How did you test? have you tried moving a file to file share on other (Lan connected) PC on your network?

What speed do you get? Do this x 8 to get back to megabit again.

Thanks for the reply!

Yes, I got a 200mbs fiber (it's a FTTC).

No, I tried only the usual speed test from OOkla and other providers, In my PC it gets only about 35-40mbs, while my laptop gets 140 and my old android tablet about 50.

The PC connected via ethernet gets 189mbs, so the line is OK. It's just my "brand new" wifi card that gives me that sluggish speed.

As I said the drivers gets stuck at EAP-FAST installation. I found out the chip is a Realtek RTL8192CE, but use those drivers has same behaviour.

Well, probably I found the issue: Antennaes.

Out of desperation I used an old wifi cable extension and put on it a bigger anteannae... Now my PC can reach 75mbs easily!

But I'm still figuring out why it refuses to install the drivers. u.u
