switching from gnome to kde manjaro

is it possible to switch from gnome to KDE without redownloading manjaro?

I live in misery USA. my timezone is central daylight time which is either UTC -5 or -4 because the government hates everyone.

Short answer: Yes you can!

 

Long answer: You can install any desktop environment on Linux when the distro supports it. Install it and it should appear as a option on the login screen. (You can make the choice to start KDE session or Gnome when both are installed).

 

sudo pacman -S plasma

I love the cool factor of Linux, but man this is a mountain to climb (knowledge)

gnome and kde are the GUI IIRC and gnome is apariently inefficent.

That's it. (plasma-desktop if you just want the desktop and nothing else)
