2nd Build Ever, Finally have the cash to build - Help

I currently own an RTX 2070 FE and a Ryzen 3700x.

This is what I came up with so far on finishing the build to order the parts.

I will use this pc mostly for gaming, music production, and work from home work.

My current monitor is an LG 27UK600-W. 4k 60hz unfortunately. Wish I would have ordered a 1440p 100hz in hindsight.

I'd like to spend only $700 more on the rest of the components. (That is what I'm ok with spending today)

If there are any places I could cut that wouldn't hurt performance, let me know. Also any other recommendations would be great. My first PC build was over 10 years ago with a Geforce 9800GX2 SLI that failed. So really, this is my first build.

These are what I would get.

Just wait for the tomahawk max to come back in stock, that's just a placeholder

Even though the CPU comes with a stock cooler, I would highly recommend another cooler from the market. As discussed over many threads, AMD precision boost will make your CPU run HAWT while running fast. Just something to consider.

Things like a Noctua D15, or a beQueit! Dark Rock Pro 4 (Both are silent AF if you want to focus on the computer being silent when making your musics) are nice options.

As for the build itself, it looks good to me. Maybe get a dedicated DAC if you already haven't, but if you are into sound production I assume you have one on hand.

Thank you both for the reply. Slottr, why would you go for the B450 instead of the X570? What do I have to do with the B450 max before installing the cpu? And is 650w going to be enough power? I see common builds with 750w but I'm wondering if thats overkill or future-proofing.

Azure, thanks, I will definitely look into an aftermarket cooler for the chip. I worry about the ram height hitting some of those aftermarket fans but I'm sure they show the measurements.

The Tomahawk MAX is a solid board so unless you need pcie 4.0 or wifi 6 then it saves some money. It should work out of the box with the 3700X.

A 650W is more than fine unless you plan on building a 32 core cpu system with a 2080 ti etc. The 650W RMx is a solid buy though for $85.

You can get coolers like the Arctic Freezer 34 esports duo that don't block any ram slots, so you can use tall ram without any problems. It is a good cooler for the money and is AM4 ready as it came out after Ryzen 3000 launched (Some older coolers might need an AM4 bracket).

This video shows how easy it is to install. Only thing I would do different is the thermal paste application. A small blob in the centre of the cpu will do fine.
