No post AMD R5 3600 b450

I just got a new athlon 200ge in the mail in order to update my bios for my b450 mobo, but it won’t even post with the athlon. I’ve tried both the gpu hdmi port and the mobo hdmi port with and without the gpu installed. Gigabyte says that this model is athlon and ryzen 2000 series ready our of the box but I’ve checked everything else out. No loose cables, both my m.2 and Sata dad drives are connected, led lights and cpu fan turn on and I have an evga 650 watt gold psu

 

edit: I’ve also checked with my laptop that the hdmi cable and monitor still work and I’m trying to boot into windows
