Posted September 25, 2019 Hello all, Here are the specs of the PC I built for myself a week ago: CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x CPU cooler: Stock Wraith Prism Mobo: ASRock X570 Pro4 Ram: 2x8, 3000mhz, G.Skill Aegis GPU: ASUS Tuff Gaming RTX 2060 PSU: Corsair CX650M, 650 watts Case: Phantex p300 HDD's: 1tb WD, and 4tb WD I previously had a Dell Inspiron 5675, but I found it to be under performing, so I built my own using the hard drives from my old PC. After I got some issues worked out and got it booted, I tried to play some games. I got 10fps in Fallout: New Vegas, and most other games were missing DX11 or some other thing. Then, I realized that my GPU wasn't showing up in Task Manager. I tried re-installing all of my drivers many times, checked device manager, and tried any other solutions I could find on the internet. I just did a benchmark on UserBenchmark (https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/20426044), and my computer severely under preformed in every category. I'm starting to wonder if the old Radeon drivers are interfering, or if my drivers are corrupted somehow. I also haven't discounted the possibility of a bad mobo or bad card. Does anybody else have some ideas of what could be wrong, or any potential solutions? I'll try anything to get my PC running right. Thanks in advance for everybody's responses! No, having Windows install from an old PC with it's settings and drivers that have nothing to do with your NEW machine... that's what is killing your performance. Inactive or active, makes no difference. Installing Windows and Activating it are 2 very different things. Every new build needs a brand new fresh Windows install.
