MSI MEG X570 ACE & ComboPI1.0.0.3abba ?

Go to solution Solved by rEkmAInc1csBnlM6C85H,

Update:

So I went from version 1.3(ab) to 1.5(abba) no difference in boost speeds or all-core. My fasted cores hit 4.25GHz before and after and all benchmarks yield the same results within 3%. Going to try some games because that seems to get the fast cores going a little quicker for some reason.

New issues is my SATA card that I have for a BlueRay drive (I needed 5 SATA ports and the board has 4) keeps taking all boot priority despite the settings now. Going to play with that some more and see if I can get it working as I want.

Edit: Not an issue looks like the BIOS update made Booting from PCIe cards work as intended.

Update 2:

Taking a closer look the voltages are less insane, so that is good; saving 5c on idle temps now.

Anyone else got this board, and what is your setup?

Spoiler

My core setup:

  • 3900X
  • MSI MEG X570 ACE
  • 16GBx2 HyperX 3200Mhz @ 3200Mhz

If you do; did you get any improvements out of bios update 7C35v15(ComboPI1.0.0.3abba)? And was there any new odd issues it created?

I have been having a heck of a time with X570 "quirks" and want to get some feedback before I potentially shoot myself in the foot. This motherboard so far is rock stable and I would hate to start the suffering again (Like I did with my prior Gigabyte board) for no real gains.
