Have you tried booting in safe modus? This sounds more like a Windows issue then BIOS to me. You can try to boot a live CD to check if this works.

I can't even see my windows anymore. It doesn't recognise my m.2 ssd as a boot drive...

My ram didn't work on XMP, so I waited for a new bios that would fix it.

Fair enough.

Did you try going to the Boot Override menu and selecting your M.2? This is usually F10 or F11.

Yeah, when I select my m.2 it first shows some '_' and then it says no boot drive detected

What are the chances...you had your data backed up somewhere?

That's good at least. I've just linked someone to this topic. They have the exact same motherboard and are thinking of updating the BIOS as you've done. I'm thinking we should try to troubleshoot one problem at a time before they find them-self in the same situation.

Does your M.2 show up in the boot menu as more than one entry? Ex. "UEFI your-drive", "your-drive". Did you try the other entries if they're there?

No uefi :/

it's like my windows exploded after the bios update.

My motherboard is also switching my mouse and keyboard on and off a few times since the new bios. So it feels like windows, the bios and the other software are just fighting a battle rn.

If UEFI boot is enabled (and it should be, by default) then it should be there unless Windows 10 was installed via Legacy which I've seen Disabled by default so if you want to test that rabbit hole you should be able to find it under an Advanced tab then South Bridge or a SATA menu. It should give you an option to enable Legacy boot. If that does anything for you great. If not, disable it again.

Does it do this only on start-up (kind of normal) or is it bugging out while sitting in the BIOS (not normal)?
