AMD JCORSAIR1 pin header

Hi,

 

So, the other day, I was scrolling through motherboards, and what I noticed, is that Intel motherboards have the JCORSAIR1 pin header and other RGB pin headers, while AMD motherboards don't, why is this?

The reason I am asking this is because I want to change my fans to Corsair fans.

This is strictly an MSI thing that has to do with their relationship with MSI.

As for why they didn't carry it over to AMD boards, I do not have the answer.

No, as I said, it is an MSI exclusive thing due to their working relationship with Corsair. There are actually quite a few of their AMD boards with it now that I've looked. But it is MSI only.

Must depend on the model, I looked at the specs of 2 models, the MSI X470 Carbon Pro Gaming and the MPG X470 Gaming Pro Carbon and both have the JCorsair header.

The Lighting Node Pro or Commander Pro will do so via a USB 2.0 header.

My amd x470 carbon pro gamer has that pin and a few more amd MSI boards do too.
