The A320 chipset doesn't support Ryzen 3000 series CPUs IIRC. I'm confused

Even if the A320 chipset does support Ryzen 3000 series CPUs, your motherboard's VRMs are gonna get fried with a Ryzen 5 3600.

what PSU is that, 600W says nothing. please list model so we can advice you something that wont burn your house down

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

What do you mean by VRMs?

Thermaltake smart 600 watt

A320 has no official support for Zen2. You can end up with a system that doesn't boot at all

According to msi any am4 socket mb does work with ryzen 3000 series as long as you update the bios

well that or the motherboard would be the first thing id swap out, the non RGB less then 750W TT smart is pretty bad.

TT smart under 750W is pretty bad, would be one of the first things id swap out. You dont need 600W anyway even with a much better graphics card or something. Thats if its just the regular smart, the other TT smart models are a bit better

The A320M PRO VD-Plus's VRMs are likely the same 4+2 phase that the B350 variant uses, meaning it's an RT8894A controller with a PK616BA on the high side and two PK632BAs on the low side. MSI used that exact configuration all the way up to the B350 Gaming Plus, and used 2x the same VRM on boards all the way up to the X370 Gaming Pro Carbon.

I'm not saying that the A320 board is as good as an X370 Gaming Pro Carbon, but it's definitely not going to fry the VRMs. They have a heatsink on them, and the Ryzen 5 3600 consumes less power than previous generation hex-cores as well.

Excuse me, but WTF, am I the only one that thinks a 3600 is overkill for an 1050ti? Like get a 3400 and rx 580.

The 2600, even cheaper, is the best accompanying CPU.

Also @RetroWarrior599 what country are you buying from? If it's the US it'll be pretty easy to make a parts list with pricing for you.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

The main reason im getting the 3600 is for the unreal engine 4 since my old cpu (the ryzen 3 1200) kept going to 100% when packaging my project and freezing the pc.
