Best CPU fan + MOBO + PSU + RAM for a quiet 3900x at stock speeds? (no liquid cooling)

Which ones should I buy? It must fit on my fraktal r4. I just want to edit videos smoothly and quitetly. Im on a 10 year old q6600 and im going insane. The 3900x has been out for a while so its time to update.

Anything I should need to know or do when I boot? like updates wise.

Just get a Scythe Fuma 2 most likely. Just a cheap dual tower cooler.

I was told Noctua 15 one is one of the quietest

Budget 2000€ ideally way less than that since im keeping my current gpu for now

Noctua is good but a Fuma 2 is likely good enough.

As well an R7 3700X is likely perfectly fine.

Nahh mate im not interested in a new GPU right now. Also i want to learn deepfaking and I heard CUDA is best there so I will go for rtx next year or so.

IPlease give me a PSU+ram+cpu fan+mobo combo for a quiet 3900x setup

If I buy something like 2070 super next year or so when its cheaper, the PSU must be able to deal with that

With the issues even finding a 3900x in stock, the 3700x is usually the best choice currently.

I also have a Scythe Fuma 2 and it is quiet while still keeping a 3700x with PBO on and IF clock at 1800mhz at 61°C on the hottest core, +40°C over ambient, that is with the usual -0.1 V offset because 1.5V stock is insane Asus.

The only audible noise comes from my GTX1080 Strix.  Even at max fan speed the Fuma 2 is still quite quiet.  And while Noctua may be the gold standard, I consider Scythe to be 95% as good for 50% the price.  And you don't have to deal with the beige and brown.

The Scythe Ninja 5 does cool better and is 1 db quieter, but the Fuma 2 has better ram clearance, aka it doesn't interfere at all.  Look at the result for the Fuma Rev B to get an idea of the Fuma 2. CPU Cooler Reviews on a 6700k

This is my recent build minus gpu, ssd, and case.  You can go for cheaper memory just fine but for better performance from Ryzen you want tight ram timings and I don't care for RGB ram. I am running it in a Cooler Master H500m with the mesh front.

Make sure you have your voltage settings tuned because stock ones will make you run hot, stock settings in bios had my idle temps in the UEFI at 41°C due to having core voltage of 1.5V and after adjusting core voltage that to AMDs listed value it gave normal 30°C idle temps.

I would like to buy 32 GB of ram in two 16 GB slots for future expansion possibilities. Since I edit a lot of video i think extra 16 gigs cant hurt. Can you find me the best ram to buy here for 3900x?

https://www.pccomponentes.com/buscar/?query=ram#pg-0&or-search&fm-7

I will probably but it all on this shop because I dont want to mix parts buying in different shops so I get everything in a single package.

I don't use more than 16gbs of RAM doing 4k video editing.

You can just buy the same kit of memory later on, it's going to be harder to get 32GBs running at higher speeds, so I'd only get it if it's really needed, otherwise having 3200mhz or 3600mhz RAM on normal Ryzen is likely better for performance.

Just check the QVL or memory support list for a given motherboard.

There's also this Threadripper promotion, that would give you quad channel memory support and more PCI-e lanes for SSDs/video cards, but I'm not sure how much use that is with a slower 1920X or something, which is maybe 15-20% slower than the 3900X.

I want a 3900x, I dont want to start going insane researching other CPUs now.

Can you recommend me a MOBO which has NO wifi and bluetoth? I hate wireless crap on desktops. The one you mentioned is free of that?

About 32 gb of ram, what do you reckon will be a good use case for that?

That's just the same as games which don't even go over 8GBs most of the time.

whats more important

more mhz, or less latency?

this one seemed like the best deal but its sold out:

cl14 for this price... i cant find it anywhere, did it go up in price?

3200mhz CL14 is more for overclocking

a 3200mhz CL 16 memory kit will be pretty close in performance outside of that as shown in the video.

Just get 2 of these though, I can't find a straight 16GB kit for the same price, shouldn't matter if you buy 2 separate sticks if they're the same.

I have the DDR4 3600-CL15 version of that ram it works great for me, the actual timing is slightly better than 3200cl14.

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/yCVBD3/gskill-tridentz-series-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3600-memory-f4-3600c15d-16gtz

Its important to remember that latency isn't just the CL number.  Its a relationship between the speed and timings.

DDR4-6000 with CL32 is equal to DDR4-3000 with CL16 in terms of actual latency.

3200 CL14 is 8.75ns of latency, 3600 CL16 is 8.89ns, 3600 CL15 is 8.33ns

any db readings of scythe vs noctua 15? I really want a silent computer, but no liquid bs

The Noctua NH-D15 is near silent, if I recall it trades blows with the Dark Rock Pro 4. Get whatever one is cheaper in your region.

Works well on my 3900x at least.
