EVGA, how great are they?

Lord Pantaloons

Reasons like this I am happy to purchase two Kingpins. Two of the best cards on the market sold by the best company.

<3 EVGA forever.

I feel left out not being tagged, but yes. EVGA is pretty damn good. I prefer ASUS more though, just for DirectCU II. IMO, an EVGA card with the DirectCU II cooler would be the best thing ever.

do they still have double lifetime warranty on their cards?  which ones?   LOL!!  the problem with evga is that due to their unbelievable warranty replacement, I can't allow myself to go with any other company.   The only problem with their replacement is that you're guaranteed to

receive a refurbished card.....never a new one.

So here's an update and an ending to this story, I got my GPU today and it's a 760 ACX Dual FTW 4GB so it seems that my upgrade spree is over. Regardless I am still stunned by this whole thing I still cannot believe that I walked away with these cards.

It's EVGA support that's so good. Looking at the other post people are forgetting most of the cards (reference cards) they sell are made by Nvidia. EVGA just slap there slicker on it and deals with you if there a problem. There is no different between any brand in terms of quality of the reference card itself just the support.

No Luv for Asus? I feel lonely with my DCII 780ti when everyone constantly recommends EVGA all the time lol.

I have an Asus 770 :P I like EVGA, but I don't like the reference coolers. I would much prefer to have a DCU2 cooler.

This is why I brought an evga 760 for the new rig, it is often overlooked how important customer support is and I will give my money to any business with good customer service over a slightly "better" business with piss poor customer service any day of the week. It is the reason i bank with who i do, i shop where i do and i buy the brands of things i do.

I guess i came to expect a fairly high level though after doing 7 yrs of retail work involving customer service, sometimes it is that little detail like being able to have a chat that can make the world of difference as well.

I remember I was building a custom set up for a guy. It was my first job building a computer for someone else. I was around 16. I got him an EVGA 460, open box on NewEgg. Well after a while it started artifacting bad.

I called up EVGA, and I told them about what happened.  The rep was so nice. He initially tried to get me to RMA it, though when I told him about it he said "That just wont do!" and walked me through testing every bit of the card AND the rest of the new system to make sure that the card absolutely had to be RMA'd. I did have to return it, they said for the inconvenience of my customer and since EVGA prides themselves on their reputation for great service that they were going to upgrade him. They sent a 470. They told me good luck on my first job and told me I was gonna be a great system builder. It was so nice and it was one of the things that inspired me so much about this field of work, that even just basic level tech support was so knowledgeable and passionate about their work. Still makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I went EVGA for my 780 ti, I just brought the back plate separate and put it on there myself.

When buying NV cards it is hard for me to buy anything but eVGA. Their support and service is stellar.

They've made a lifetime customer out of me twice over.

Never gonna happen, makes me feel bad for fans of the red team. They don't have anything comparable on their side.
