Hi @Toaster241

Don't really know a solution for this or how it is caused (probably Windows updates though...) but a workaround might be the following.

1. Type in Windows startmenu " shell:startup " (without quotes) and hit enter

2. Create a shortcut here to explorer.exe

Now explorer.exe will autolauch every time when starting your computer

You do have it but i think that Windows tried to " Bing " it instead of launch it... Another way to get there is by hitting Windows key + R and then typing shell:startup and hit enter.

Alternative you can get to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

so i just drag the file explorer from taskbar to the startup folder and that should work?

Yea or creating a link to explore.exe will do the trick. failing that you should create a .bat script in this folder with the following content:

Well... I'm actually at a Linux system now so i can't check for myself. I believe that explore.exe is located in C:'windows\explorer.exe.

So to keep it simple.

1. Rightclick in the folder > New shortcut

2. Type location : C:\windows\explorer.exe

Hope that helps. Otherwise check  explorer.exe in taskmanager and rightclick " Open file location ". Then use this path for your shortcut.
