Should I get the beyerdynamics dt990?

For sure, lovely headphones. Really love mine.

You do have to be okay with the open back design (so for example you do have to be okay with sound leakage)

@rice guru recommended the beyerdynamics dt990. Should I get it and why should I get it?

depends entirely on use case.

if you wan thtem for gaming and already have a headphone amp sure they are pretty great. but if you are treble sensitive and also whant to use them for games I would hesitate and look elsewhere. they are very comfy. butcome with an attached cable. they are built very well. for a similar price point the hd 58x exists. you dont need an amp for it great for gaming . and has a more gentle smoother sounding sound signature. I tend to only reccopmend this headphone for gaming or for people that aren't treble sensitive or like the peaky treble like me.

Honestly, this is one of these headphones that can be very divisive, yet everyone and their dog recommends them. It’s a good headphone for detail retrieval, so that gets every reviewer... excited. But they’re not very musical IMHO. I like it warm, dark and smooth. The Beyerdynamics sound dry, cold and sometimes sibilant. Just try them out if you can. You’ll likely enjoy them.

Not all Beyers are dry and cold.they can be musical and analytical like the dt880 and the t1 or fun and boomy like the 770. The 990 unfortunately is just the best for gaming out of the 3 sub $200 Beyers as it has the best imaging.

so basically the tldr is if you're treble sensitive and you want that conventional bass emphasised sound signature get the DT770s instead.

If you're someone who doesn't mind emphasised treble and is okay with an open back design, pull the trigger on the DT990

I need to ask. Wich model you would recomend for music where most of the times is present some type of guitar? These are suppose to be for music only. I will use them for games where I need to need extra accuracy. When I will play competetive game I will use my Cloud 2s

DT 880 is the middle ground. It's kind of bright but not so treble heavy as DT990 or bass heavy as the DT770s. If you ask me, I'd prefer getting the HD6xx.

They are to expensive man :D My budget ends with DT990. You can recomend me any other ones in this price cathegory. Im buying external sound card so Im going 250Ohm max. 600 is to much.
