I have a problem after installed windows on my usb drive

I have a problem after installed windows on my usb drive lost everything on the usb on which is gone, is there a way i can get back the files on the usb before i got it installed over the files? happened when i install windows 10 to the usb drive then found out the other files were gone

It's likely possible, take it to a data recovery expert.

 

Note that the tool used to create USB installers for Windows does tell you it will delete everything on the flash drive.

That’s normal. When creating a W10 drive it wipes your USB drive.

It should be, with data recovery software like Recuva or Puran File Recovery.

When it was my first time installing windows, I used a 32gb flash drive half full of files and they were all gone afterwards. I don't know if data recovery will work, but you could try.
