LG W2442PA monitor having issues

so my monitor was working fine one day but then there was a power outage for about 30 seconds. go to turn my monitor back on and it just wont. so i unplug it for 15 seconds then plug it back in and its all good. then a few weeks later when my pc awakes from sleep the monitor wont turn on. so i unplugged everything and it seemed like everytime i plug in the hdmi cord to the monitor, it just completely loses all power. but i figured out a way to make it work somehow. but anyways today it wouldnt turn on from my pc turning on. i tried a different outlet and it would show the lg logo, then when it would go to say "check for signal cable" it would lose all power. any way i can fix this? or should i just invest in a new monitor.
