Need help looking for 1 Tb SATA 3 ssd for laptop

I'm looking to replace the hard drive that came with my laptop with an SSD. I'm looking to get the best performance for price and I want to know what brands are good. I don't want to end up buying one that fails or end up paying to much for a minimal performance increase. I was thinking the 860 evo but I want to know more about alternates before I buy something. This is just extra storage drive on my laptop so I am not in a huge rush to get one.

The Samsung QVO is a good choice. I got a 1TB one for £80 not too long ago, no problems with it.
