Laptop Trackpad Choppy

I have a hp pavillion 15-cb084no and the ELON trackpad will after a period of time become very insensitive and choppy. It does not have anything to do with liquids, drivers or bios as i have checked all those. I have looked a lot around on the internet and nothing is working, help will be greatly appreciated.

Please avoid replying if you're unable / unwilling to help. The OP is asking for help with his trackpad, he's not asking about alternatives.

This appears to have worked. I will use the laptop for a while and make sure it doesn't suddenly go weird again, but it seems a lot more responsive now which i suppose is a good sign.

Hope it sticks - Windows might occasionally brick them, though, so make sure to check if an update hasn't messed things up from time to time
