If used get Vega 56 or maybe a 980ti/1070

Otherwise save up and go for an RX 5700, might be able to find an open box model on a slight discount as well.

Agreed, but a 5700 XT would be a worthwhile save since he's looking for VR performance...

Hi Guys need to decide on a GPU for my R5 3600 with B450 ATX Corsair vengeance 3200 C16 and 750W power supply in a full tower with fan coolers which seem to run everything at good temperatures. All that's missing is the GPU my budget is 300$ but my main goal is to be VR ready at high level graphics, Was really hung up on RTX 2070 second hand but its a bit expensive and not sure if its worth investing in a GPU. Especially in a time when some VR headsets don't even need to plugged to a PC anymore or even a future console (to buy in the future) that would cost as much as a decent RTX but would play maybe the bit better quality of 4K games. Please advise your opinions.

750W power supply

What unit? If it's a good power supply you can look for a decent deal on a Vega 56 or something, maybe a 1070 ti or 1080. A 1070 or 980 ti make for good VR graphics cards as well, or an R9 fury or fury X if you get a bargain price. Mind the 4GB of vram if you want 1440p gaming.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?
