I was hyped about 30% speedup stated by Apple. Every speed improvement is welcome. But didn't expect it to be this dramatic. Before it took like a second when you raised a phone, screen woke up, then it unlocked and you pulled notification screen up. Now you lift the phone and it's already unlocked, so from waking it up by raising and sliding up to unlock there is zero delay now. Literally ZERO. Just insane. I'm loving iOS 13 for this alone and it still has few other goodies left...

Sounds like the fingerprint sensor delay on my GS10.

Not bad, I wonder if Apple also took measures to also increase the security with it.

Not sure how it is on Galaxy S10, but Xiaomi Mi5 that I had before had insanely quick unlocking with fingerprint as well. So FaceID on XR was a bit of a downgrade. But I got used to it. Now it's easily as fast, but at the same time slightly more convenient. I actually really like FaceID now and can't imagine using phone without it if I'm honest.

I cant imagine using a phone without 4000mAh battery and Adaway...

I'm getting basically 2 days out of my 3000mAh iPhone XR. You can just forget getting anything close with any Android... People need to stop looking at raw specs coz they mostly just don't apply to Apple devices. Apple devices are like consoles, super optimized software exactly for their hardware. And they literally only have few devices in product range where Android needs to run on thousands of variations.

There are apps like Adaway even on iOS. Disconnect Privacy Pro or AdGuard to name two.

That's what I was afraid of as well when going from Android with fingerprint scanner to iOS with FaceID. And I can say I actually like FaceID more. Only time it's mildly annoying is when phone is on the desk, but for everywhere else it's just more convenient.

@huilun02

My Xiaomi Mi5 had 92 hours and it mostly lasted less than iPhone XR. So these numbers are basically whatever.

As for adblocking, I don't know for AdGuard. Disconnect Privacy Pro allows creation of your own filter rules.

Well, I don't care what people say about iPhone batteries. I'm using one for almost a year and battery capacity is superb for my needs and usage. And I'm only charging it between 30 and 80%, so effectively it gets me usually through 2 days on 50% of charge. Not gonna complain if they make them bigger, but I really don't see it as a problem right now either. Again, that's for my usage and it's great.
