Planning to get a 3950x and was wondering if there will be new ones released with it. Also I have 2 motherboards in mind because I want an all black build. It's either the asus rog strix x570-f gaming or asus pro ws x570-ace

The rog strix is 290$ and the asus pro ws is 310$

I dont know anything about vrm. I dont care about rgb I just want the best out of the 2. Also the rog strix x570 - e gaming is an option I just dont know the difference. I was just wondering which one is better performance-wise? I'm only gonna use a rog strix 1080 and 1-2 nvme 4.0 m.2 ssds and 2 other regular ssds. 4x8gb corsair vengeance lpx 3600.

Any help would be appreciated.

Competitive gaming 144hz. 1080p. Ultra settings

I also do video editing and photoshop

I am learning after effects and animation aswell.

I work with fl studio for music production too so the 16 cores will come in handy.

I also stream as a side hobby.

Edit: storage means a lot to me too because my  video files take up a lot of space and I access them often for Vegas pro etc.

Are you overclocking? Do you really need the highest end equipment?

Probably will a bit. But I just build computers as a hobby. I enjoy it a lot. I couldnt find any cheaper motherboards that are all black. I'm trying to make an all black pc as a passion project and I am AMD all the way. I never built intel before.

I think you can get Asus pro ws ace. It's design for workstation workload in mind, so it is quite good. It only has SATA, but it does feature U2 port (although I'm not sure how to utilised it)

The Strix-F are design more towards for gaming, so there's a lot of blings included.

The only difference between Strix E and Strix F is that Strix E has an additional 2.5Gbps ethernet port. Also, Strix E has more USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) ports.

You can check the comparison in this link: https://www.asus.com/Product-Compare/?products=tmz1guzoa1gytvbl,SHyFHDycuUrka0tY,xlQ4iKfiVURLAgq3&b=0

Other than that, I think you might be interested in Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro WiFi. It keeps the RGB to a minimum, Has a good visual appeal (at least for me) with black board and light grey wordings. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but it's not a bad board. It has 6 SATA ports. You can check this link: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X570-AORUS-PRO-WIFI-rev-10#kf

I have ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). More info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autism_spectrum

I apologies if my comments or post offends you in any way, or if my rage got a little too far. I'll try my best to make my post as non-offensive as much as possible.

Strix-E actually has much better VRMs than the Strix-F, and the Strix-E also has a debug display which the Strix-F doesn't. That may seem like something small but if something goes wrong and the board isn't booting then it's always good knowing you have something that can give you more information about the problem (like a debug digital display) instead of relying on obscure LEDs.

If you want to pick something that can run a 3950X well and also overclock well, use the following list and pick anything from tier A upwards. Then, from those motherboards, pick the one which has the best feature set for what you want (i.e. better LAN 2.5/5G, 2 or 3 M.2s, 4, 6 or 8 SATAs, number of USBs both in the IO and/or internally and etc.).

Oh nice!the strix f is on A. And strix e is on S. Arent they basically the same except for vrm? I was thinking about getting the e but it has built in wi fi or something? Do you know if I'd need to buy a wi fi adapter or is it just plug and play? Also if it has two ethernet port which one do I plug it into for my router?

Update: I can get a strix f for 300 or strix e for 335

I'm getting a 3950x. And I've overclocked before but probably wont try to Max performance until later in the future. What do you think I should get? For futureproofing. Is f fine to get the job done or should I definitely get the strix e?

Strix E just has better VRMs and a few little features that the Strix-F doesn't (debug display and USB connectivity, I think?). No, the wifi works straight out of the box, you just have to plug in the included antenna to the back of the board. Super easy and you can't go wrong.

Up to you man, I would go for Strix-E. 35 more for better VRMs and debug display is worth it for me but that's just me.

Why not the latest asus crosshair hero?

Trying to go as black as possible and crosshair hero has a gray diagonal line going through the middle. Not my taste. But is it a good motherboard? I'm sure it is. I'm probably gonna get e strix
