AMD RYZEN 3900x (should i wait)

   So ive been ordering parts for a new build for the past 3 weeks. Now all my parts are in except the cpu. I was trying to wait till i could find a reliable source for under $600.

 

So to be all honest the 3900x might be over kill for what limited gaming/streaming/ i might be doing with it. But i think it would be a shame to pare my 5700xt with a Ryzen 3700x. Especially since i know at the end of the month the 3950 will drop and i think people holding out on selling their 3900x will drop the prices.

 

so what does the crew here think?

I'd wait for the 3950x release because that should go a long way towards solving stock issues.

Copy i was thinking the same thing, also i meant to mention that i have the msi edge 570x MB. So another reason why id hate to drop anything less then a 3900x

Just wait it out for 3950x it will come within a month or so.

Not sure the 3950x will dictate a price drop on the 3900x but as said stock issues should be better.
