_Hi all, I have been getting BSODs like "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT" and "ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY" recently, and I cannot figure out what is wrong with my computer. I got a new kit of RAM for it recently, which is 16 GB of Vengence LPX DDR4-2400. I got the errors, so I returned it and got a new pack. Same speed, same memory. Last Friday, I changed my motherboard to a B450 ROG board, hoping that may be the issue. I also reinstalled Windows, thinking it may be an OS issue. However, it did not fix it. So, I ran memtest86, and a bunch of errors came out. From what I see, it looks like it may be errors with the CPU, but at this point I cannot tell what's wrong. Any help at this point would be GREATLY appreciated, as I use this computer for school, and can't have it randomly BSOD. Thanks!

My specs:

R5 1600, previously OC'd to 3.7Ghz, currently at stock

16GB Vengence LPX DDR4-2400

RX 580 8GB

650 Watt Corsair Power Supply

250GB Samsung 970 EVO plus

1 TB WD Blue

Do you have the XMP profile enabled? You want to make sure this is DISABLED. 1st gen Ryzen memory controllers are dog shit and can cause issues like this. If disabling XMP doesn't work it may even be a faulty memory controller. Could try upping the SoC voltage, I suppose.

Check the memory is on the motherboard QVL is the first place i'd be looking.

I checked the QVL, it is not on there. But, I got it because on the Corsair website, it said the RAM was compatible with Ryzen.

The motherboard I have (ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F Gaming) doesn't support XMP. Just to make sure, the memory controller is in the CPU, right?

Yes. Your motherboard does support "XMP" but it may be called DOCP. Check on that.
